Job Description

The Role:

This is a key role in promoting Charlotte Tilbury success by project managing key store design projects through implementation. This role includes fostering essential relationships with vital retail partners, overseeing vendors and suppliers ensuring store design projects are delivered within cost, schedule, and operational requirements.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Manage CPA for all store design projects and leading updates to all impacted teams.
  • This role requires monitoring creative development timelines and approvals, technical drawing production with vendors, and overseeing coordination of overlapping trades to ensure a successful project launch.
  • Ensuring Charlotte Tilbury’s brand codes are maintained across these phases is key for success therefore, an understanding of brand aesthetics is essential.
  • Assist in managing brand-selected consultants with project leads, including MEP engineers, external PMs, and architects where required.
  • Support in finding new consultants and suppliers to grow our database of vendors
  • Perform material and detail research with suppliers and consultants for design elements with consideration to construction standards, maintenance, operations, and procurement needs.
  • High proficiency in reading shop drawings in aid of verifying pricing and advising on design changes to support project goals.
  • Organize, update, and archive all project documentation
  • Communicate effectively via verbal and drawing skills; understand and tailor information to the audience.
  • Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity on multiple projects
  • Attend installation of new counter launches and store visits to monitor standards and punch list issues, ensuring all issues are resolved timeously
  • Manage project punch list completion.
  • Competent with reading leasing terms with confidence to raise concerns where needed.
  • Manage budgets, including raising POs and meticulously track all project expenses in team-wide financial trackers.
  • Manage the submittal of all project closeout packages for retail or landlords as requested.

Reporting Relationships: Reporting to the Director of Store Design

Requirements

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of architectural and/or Interior design experience; min 2 years in retail project management
  • Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design required from an accredited program. Additional project management training would be beneficial.
  • Excellent ability to think spatially and critically read drawings.
  • Proven ability to prioritize projects while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Excellent project planning and time management skills
  • Excellent graphic presentation skills and proficient at reading shop drawings
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of accessibility and building codes
  • Experience managing the approval process for retail stores in all types of environments (new stores, existing stores, historic street-facing buildings, etc.)
  • Decisive problem-solving skills with regard to construction materials and methods are a must
  • Awareness of design trends and materials
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and with teams cross-functionally.
  • Exceptionally organized and proactive.
  • Skilled in the visual, written, and verbal communication of project execution needs.
  • Ability to balance design with operational needs and budget objectives, resulting in exceptional store environments and customer experience

Benefits

Base Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00**
