We're looking for a Human Resource Generalist to join our growing team. As a HR Generalist you will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and work closely with people managers and leaders. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits and system administration, employee relations, policy implementation, office management, and employment law compliance. You’re most likely to be successful in this role if you are a motivated self starter, have great communication skills, enjoy relationship building, and have excellent critical thinking skills.

Requirements

  • Ideally 2- 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with HR Information Systems is a plus.
  • Technical acumen and critical thinking skills are required.

Responsibilities

Benefits amp; System Administration:

  • Works with Hiring Managers to maintain employee information; collects and enters data.
  • Updates records by reviewing and approving changes in areas such as exemptions, job titles, and department/ division transfers.
  • Processes new benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Owns and maintains master files; accountable for data integrity
  • Proactively utilizes HRIS system reports and other data sources to identify data integrity issues and determines the appropriate approach to ensure employee and company structure data elements are updated correctly and in a timely manner
  • Maintains the end-to-end reporting cycle, creation, and delivery processes; creates and distributes monthly or ad hoc benefit or HR data reports Employee

Relations:

  • Ownership of the life cycle of the employee from onboarding to termination, including conducting orientation and supporting the New Hire process through the first 90 days and beyond.
  • Partners with the Vice President of People to implement organizational and people strategies that are aligned to the business strategy, focused on performance development, engagement and retention.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues.
  • Completes all termination processes, including exit interviews, and closes the communication loop with relevant feedback.
  • Collaborates with other members of HR team to ensure consistency and sharing of best practices. Works across HR functions to support organizational goals.
  • Ownership of personnel file documentation.

Office Management

  • Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is operating smoothly
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary
  • Perform receptionist duties: greet visitors, and answer and direct phone calls
  • Receive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mail
  • Assist with office layout planning and office moves, and with managing and maintaining IT infrastructure
  • Identify opportunities for process and office management improvements, and design and implement new systems
  • Provide other administrative support as necessary, including scheduling group meetings, maintaining calendars, doing research, and creating reports
  • All other duties as assigned
