Job Description
Supervises the Online Education Programs of PBC including English Online Degree Program, Spanish and Portuguese Certificate Programs, Affiliate Programs, Prime Program and PBCaccess.com initiatives. Responsible for the conversion of materials and teaching from live classes to online classroom; responsible for student experience across all online education programs and the development and application of online academic policies; manages the overall budget of online education programs; ensures that online education programs are well- represented in all PBC marketing and communications modalities; provides overall administration of each online education programs; does related work as needed.
- Hours: Full-Time, Exempt
- Ministry Center: Portland Bible College
- Reports to the Academic Dean
- Supervises Online Program Coordinator, Adaptive Education Coordinator and Affiliate Program Coordinator and Course facilitators as necessary
Requirements
Degree from Portland Bible College required; Previous experience developing courses and curriculum for the classroom required; Teaching experience preferred; Experience with people management and project management; experience with starting and bringing projects to completion, ability to collaborate and coordinate work across multiple teams; Must have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with special awareness of grammar and sentence structures; Comfortable learning, utilizing, troubleshooting and training others in the use of multiple technology systems; Must have good understanding and passion for Mannahouse and PBC vision/educational philosophy; Must be a member in good standing of Mannahouse, Global Network church, or Minister’s Fellowship International (MFI); including consistent attendance, ministry participation, and tithing.
Responsibilities
- Actively coordinates and collaborates with appropriate teams to build and adapt policies and processes for admissions, registration, finance, retention, academics, online instruction, and course development for online students and programs.
- Coordinates Faculty and Curriculum Developers to integrate components of the live classroom by updating classroom curriculum for multiple online environments.
- Collaborates with Advancement and Marketing teams to develop marketing content for website, socials, print, email communications, and slides that help recruit and grow the online education programs.
- Maintain the annual budget for the PBC Online Program, PBC Partners Budget and PBC Spanish Budget.
- Responsible for identifying, understanding, and integrating technical programs and tolls into PBC for the purpose of facilitating all online education programs.
- Ensures curriculum updates are implemented across all online modalities: online degree programs, affiliate programs, Spanish and Portuguese programs, campus intensives and www.pbcaccess.com
- Responsible for creating a positive online student experience across all online education programs by adapting and implementing policies, accountabilities, and communications.
- Responsible for onboarding, training and managing online course facilitators to maintain consistent application of school policies.
- Constantly works to improve the learning experience of all students (degree seeking or not) that interact with online education programs to maintain high student retention.
- Responsible for working with partner churches to successfully implement academic policies and PBC curriculum into their training programs.
