Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seeks a dynamic and experienced Program Manager. The Global Safety and Security Team (GSS) is responsible for establishing operational standards designed to enhance security throughout the Federation.
Purpose : The Program Manager will provide strategic support to the Director of Affiliate Security. This role is responsible for applying conceptual models and policy frameworks to the development and assessment of new projects, policies, and/or services. The incumbent will use their experience in a fast-paced environment to initiate and support different components of this dynamic team.
Delivery : Assist in managing the day-to-day operations and technical aspects of multiple projects. Facilitate the creation of user documentation, best practices, and training materials. Participate in regular project management team discussions and contribute to project management best practices. Delivers analytical work effectively and in an organized manner within the established procedures and resources. Proactively track the progress of all key initiatives and provide regular metrics for work conducted and/or support the Affiliate Security program has provided. Create documents, presentations, forms, fillable PDFs, spreadsheets, and charts, as needed. Prepare internal and standardized external communications.
Engagement: The Program Manager will interact with the Planned Parenthood Affiliates, supporting the Security team and other divisions within the National Office, as needed. Partner with the Director of Affiliate Security to develop an understanding of operational processes used by Affiliate Security and assist in the creation of best practices. Communicate frequently with project stakeholders; write and present regular project status reports. Meet with GSS Leadership to maintain the Global Safety and Security Affiliate Security intranet pages. Use initiative to look for new technology, platforms, software, and methods for improved security program management. Provide input to program development and assessment of program quality.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years of program management-related work experience. Ability to develop and manage detailed project plans by coordinating with Leadership and key stakeholders. Knowledge of project management methods, tools, and practices. Experience in data analytics. Prior security experience is useful, but not required. Advance knowledge of Microsoft Officer, Google desktop applications, iWorks, Adobe Acrobat, as well as project management programs. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
TRAVEL : Less than 10%.Final offers for this job will be based on capabilities and will be made within the parameters of the PPFA compensation program.
