Associate Scientist, Assay Team

Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and running assays on our state-of-the-art protein sequencing platform. The Associate Scientist will work closely with a team of scientists and engineers to design, optimize, and validate assays for use in research and development.
Requirements
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize assays for use on Encodia’s platform
- Run and troubleshoot assays on the instrument platform
- Conduct data analysis and interpretation
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data and results
- Participate in the design and execution of experiments to support assay development and optimization
- Maintain detailed documentation of experimental procedures, results, and conclusions
- Communicate results and findings to team members and management
- Stay up-to-date on scientific literature and trends related to assay development and instrumentation
What You Bring to This Role
- A Master's Degree in a related field and over 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in related field with over 8 years of experience
- Experience in assay and workflow development
- Hands on experience with molecular and biochemical procedures
- Familiarity with molecular diagnostics and proteomics
- Familiarity with instrument platforms (e.g., qPCR, ELISA, NGS, etc)
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation using software tools (e.g., Excell, Jmp. GraphPad Prism, etc.)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Highly Desirable
- Experience with NGS and proteomics workflows

Compensation: $78,500 - $121,500/year. While compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role
