LAC Federal is seeking an experienced User Experience Designer to provide expertise in conducting user experience research and user testing for the development of a search layer at a major federal library. The UX Designer will work with internal stakeholders and team members in designing and carrying out user testing for existing and prototype interfaces. The UX Designer also works with senior team members in developing and defining project goals and objectives, contributes to weekly status reports, and carries out user testing and analysis of results.
Requirements
- A Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Library Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields
- Experience with user experience research design performing all the tasks described above
- Experience working with enterprise application including search engines and discovery layers
- Experience with user experience design for prototypes
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders including IT professionals, librarians, and end uders
- Ability to identify problems with product design
