Location: Montville, NJ
Job Summary: The Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing the billing, revenue cycle, and accounts receivable day to day processes for this role. This role requires a strong understanding of billing and revenue cycle processes, as well as the ability to manage staff and work collaboratively with other departments.
Salary: $62,500 a year, with potential for higher pay.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in billing, revenue cycle management, and accounts receivable.
- Excellent leadership, managerial and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of billing and revenue cycle processes, including coding and reimbursement rules.
- Strong understanding of New York State Medicaid billing and revenue cycle management and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and manage staff.
- Experience with billing and revenue cycle software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Not Required, but a plus:
- Experience with APG (Ambulatory Patient Group) billing and revenue cycle management and regulations, specifically, Article 28 and 31.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day to day billing process, ensuring that invoices are accurate, timely and that collections are properly managed.
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring that payments are received in a timely manner and that any outstanding balances are properly managed.
- Implement billing policies and procedures, according to the guidelines set forth by the Revenue Cycle Manager.
- Manage the revenue cycle process, which includes billing, coding, claims processing, and reimbursement.
- Implement strategies to improve revenue cycle performance, such as reducing claim denials and improving collections.
- Work closely with other departments within the organization, such as Scheduling, Coordination, Clinical Departments and Quality Assurance, to improve overall revenue cycle performance.
- Manage billing staff, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback as needed.
