Job Description

The Senior Vice President of Business Development amp; Sales is primarily responsible for overseeing all existing vendor programs, creating sales channel flow, and developing positive relationships with all existing and potential vendors nationally. SVP, Vendor Relations will have a keen business sense and understanding of what it takes to maximize profitability and efficiency of the division. This role will act as a leader and mentor with direct reports and set clear expectation through training and development.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage relationships with existing Vendors and Equipment Manufacturers and develop new relationships with potential vendors and manufacturers.
    • Manage vendor/ manufacturer programs and identify new program opportunities.
    • Manage sales teams for various programs providing leadership and direction as needed
    • Be responsible for meeting and exceeding Vendor business plan targets and profitability, including development and tracking of business plans and KPIs
  • Create sales channel flow with vendor and program relationships. Increase the number of applications sent to company.
  • Act as a spokesperson and ambassador for company with vendors/ manufacturers during industry trade shows, vendor meetings and conferences.
  • Review metrics and reports to analyze each vendor and their effectiveness for the business. Fire customers, if necessary, expand profitable relationships
  • Gather constant feedback on vendors’ satisfaction; identify concerns and opportunities; ensure that internal departments are made aware of insights.
    • Key liaison between vendor/ manufacturers and comany
    • Be a key part of the overall vendor programs team, seen as a leaders and industry expert
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of commercial finance experience, with proved track record in sales, marketing, and business development.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a senior level manager and leader of a sales team or business unit
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Understanding of business plans, credit/ risk, portfolio management, pricing, and how they work together to create a successful vendor program.
  • Strong ability to work in changing environment, and ability to think critically.
  • Above average written communication skills. Good presentation / speaking skills and comfortable in front of small and large groups.
  • Ability to build and maintain a personal network of respected business leaders and vendors who provide ideas, feedback, counsel, and guidance.
    • Ability to successfully negotiate and resolve conflict at the senior executive level.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in working in a demanding, high performance work environment and team-oriented culture.
  • Willingness to travel

Work Conditions:

  • This may be a fully remote position with travel as business needs require. Preference is for candidate to live in or spend considerable time with senior management team in Bend, OR
  • Must have a home office like environment to work in with minimal noise and disruption.
  • Must have reliable, secure, high-speed internet.
  • Must possess comfort in learning, training, and engaging with others virtually through various systems (i.e., Microsoft Teams), and via telecom and video.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor during stressful situations
